Immigration
Immigration has always been a part of the American way of life. Even from the very beginning of this great nation people from many different nations have come to seek the American Dream. But this American Dream is being challenged by the abuse of Americas lenient regulations on Immigration. Now, don't get me wrong I think immigration legally and for the right reasons is fantastic and very helpful if used in the right way. However, abusing the system is something the American government simply cannot stand for. Up to 22 billion dollars being spent on WELFARE for illegal immigrants to have a home here is simply unaccecptable. We should be spending the same amount of money tracking them down and deporting them back to where they came from. I do not try to sound so blunt and uncaring about such matters but it is just something I feel very strongly about and it's something I believe everyone should feel strongly about. However, legal immigration is a wonderful thing. In fact, it is all what America stands for. We are, at our core, a nation of immigrants even the most Americanized meals such as hotdogs and hamburgers came from German immigrants. Also, everyday new, legal immigrants come into America looking to better themselves and the lives for their families. And what happens when they get here is we get some of the most hardworking people you can find. This is because they know what its like on the other side and they want their families to not have to endure that any longer. This may scare some people because they want their jobs to stay secure. But, if these people really cared that much they would take on a competitive attitude and tried to beat the immigrants out for the job. However, the sad fact is that we Americans are to lazy to do anything for ourselves and we'd rather just have someone else do it for us.
